Staff and owners gave us a warm welcome. Hotel room was small and (as befits an old building) old fashioned. It was however clean, had a comfortable bed and all the usual facilities. The food in the restaurant was very good using fresh seasonal produce. Cauliflower soup was excellent and the steak was very tender and full of flavour. The posset was also excellent. The service was superb. It was more like staying in a private home with attentive hosts than staying in a hotel.
